My husband and I are about to start with BCRM. I have been reading some of
the posts on the forum and it seems there are quite a few people who have
found the centre difficult to deal with for one reason or another.
I would love to hear about people's experiences- I am now wondering
whether we should go with another clinic.

Hi Tucks

I had treatment near at another clinic and for me personally they were absolutely brilliant and if it was not for the distance and other factors I would have gone back there!  They were professional and my experience with BCRM, unfortunately, has not been the same.  I was suppose to hear today about starting my tabs (we are recipients for donor egg) and due to a blood test not being ready they will only let me know tomorrow which then delays it.  With the other clinic they  seemed to put you on the tablets or meds for a bit longer than BCRM so not sure how it will go?  Hope that helps.

Hiya Tucks

we had our first ICSI treatment with BCRM back in 2007, we were very lucky that we were succesful first time. DH and I couldn't fault the care we recieved. I know that some people have had difficutlies with communication I made sure that I sent everything registered post.

When we had our treatment in 07, we were treated at Priory road, which was a lovely old house in Clifton Bristol, it has now since moved to Southmead, we had our initial consultation for our second treatment in May, we found the new building more clinical, but the staff were just as lovely. Our appt was late we were seen about 50mins after our actual appt time, but once we were with the Doctor we were not rushed at all.

Good luck with your treatment

sending you lots of babydust and PMA

Lea

Thank you to you both for your replies. It's really helpful to hear other's
experiences. We have an appointment with a consultant later this month so
we will see how it goes.
Not decided about BCRM but equally not sure if I have the energy to start
searching for other clinics and finding out their success rates etc. At least we
are for-warned which helps keep down the stress of any difficulties.

Sarahkins- Hope you haven't been delayed in starting too much and wishing
you a positive outcome.
