YAY!!!

I made it!!

It was eventful...I was overtaken by a gorilla, bananaman, a powerwalker, umpteen bearded fairy's, not to mention being lapped by the leaders at 2.5 miles Laughing Laughing

My knee went at 3.5miles...nursed it through to 6.5miles when I realised i'd have to do another lap + to finish..was feeling a little dispondent and then saw nellie and my beautiful boys waving and cheering me which boosted me through the next 4 miles.... started to really feel it between miles 10 and 11 as the rest of my leg was compensating for my knee..knew if I stopped then my knee would seize and that would be it..then saw my wonderful TAMBA friend and family who were great and gave me another much needed boost and so dragged my leg the last 2.5miles..with that and the gurning must have looked like quasimodo.. Embarassed

Crossed the finish line and my knee duly seized to an extent that one of the St Johns ambulance guys asked me if I needed a stretcher!!!! Laughing Laughing Shocked

So came 10463rd out of 10858 finishers...in a time of 2hrs, 42mins 41 secs...but "ran" all the way and didn't stop or walk!!! YAY!!

And at present sponsorship is just under £1700 but more still coming in...

Thank you so much for your support and sponsorship I am overwhelmed by you all...and you really did keep me going and made me well up lots as I turned the final corner and saw the finish line..

Big big Hugs

Emxx
