Hi Emsie,

It hasn't sunk in and we're not celebrating yet.  We have been here twice before exactly the same symptoms and both times it has ended in a miscarriage in about a week or twos time.  Because I started bleeding the same day, at the same time, I am dubious whether this one will be any different.  I only tested yesterday as I knew it had worked from my symptoms as they are identical to the last two times it worked but thats not necessarily a good thing!  I tried ringing the clinic but no one has rung me back.  Trouble is this time I am on 4 x 400 mg cyclogest a day so it could mask the miscarriage so I have to keep my emotions in check for my sanity!

Managed to eat a small cake at my friend's.  Really didn't want it but ate it anyway !!!

Ginger - good on you holding out.  I wish I was that strong.  I've always caved in and tested early ..... my Mum asked if the clinic would be cross when I told them I'd tested early.... I told her, I won't be the first or the last .

FC - hope the down regging is going ok and you haven't turned into the demon woman yet like I did.

Millie - hope all goes well today and you get two super embies on board today - I am assuming ARGC put two blasties back.... I have a good feeling for you this time girl!!

Love to all

Nxx

Morning all,

Well like Nomading I have also been naughty and tested early. In fact I have been up since 4am testing and have had 3 BFP  . I am in complete and utter shock as I have no symptoms but am of course incredibly excited (and scared).

DH is worried that as I have tested early I may still have some trace of the HCG shot (15th Feb) in my system. Could that be the case or do I really have a positive result?

Thanks x

Morning all.

Congrats Nomading, I know you are not celebrsting yet but you are BFP and that is one hell of a hurdle so best wishes for that from me.

Hi Ginger, i'd say there is no way in the world that is still the hcg shot so celebrate just a little

Well done ladies!!

Hi Ginger,

Fantastic news.... no it won't be your HCG trigger.... it's too late for that.  When I spoke to the nurse on call, she told me that the earliest I could do a test was yesterday and so you doing it today is just fine.  ENJOY every minute.  It's great news that you aren't having any symptoms - BCRM told me on the previous cycles that I shouldn't expect any at this stage.

AFM - I still feel sick; often do before I come on..... did another test this morning and it's still positive - don't know why I did as it always remains positive with me for a month even after we have established it is a chemical preg.  I rang BCRM on Mon, yest and today and finally someone answered.... no one returned my call as NN is on annual leave this week.  It does annoy me really that someone can't call back.  Anyway, they are going to dig my notes our and get a consultant to call me to discuss the case.  I need to know whether it is viable or not so am going to push for blood tests so we know one way or another.  I know I am really negative but I just can't cope with the heartache of building my hopes again, only for them to be dashed in a week or so. Otherwise I may just turn up at Bath EPU/GP and tell them I've been bleeding.

Ginger - here's to a positive 9 months for you.  I am so pleased

N xx

Oh Nomading, it's so sad to see you post this way.

I can totally see why you would feel very apprehensive but there is no reason that this time can not be different, and on the same level, no reason that it should be the same (hmm, is that the same thing?!)

Try to think positive if at all possible, well being in your mind is as important as in your body and if you are showing BFP and have no bleeding and no pains then it's good.

Take one day at a time, you are pregnant and each day is a step closer to your goal.

Saying all that, i'd be pushing for HCG levels to be monitored for my peace of mind also.

Sending you some positive vibes

LL x

Hi Ladies,

Nomading... i hope you get the blood test you want..play hell if necessary..it seems a shame you can't enjoy your BFP, so the sooner you get confirmation the better.

Ginger...Congrats on your BFP.. wishing you an amazing 9 months ahead. I'm on the dreded 2ww at the moment testing next week, did you have any symptoms, implantation bleeds or soreness as presently analysising every twinge.

Lot of Love

Daisy. xxx

Hi all,

Thanks for your responses, you have eased my mind and I am going to enojy my positive result before I then start worrying lots. Daisy, I had some twinges or small cramps on the 1st week of 2ww and then nothing at all. Today I feel heavy in the tummy area but that is it to be honest. I had no reason to test earlier other than impatience. Fingers crossed for you.

Nomading I would definitely keep pushing for your HCG levels to be monitored. I think that it is the least they can do for you. Good luck.

x x
