On the subject of depressing things, did anyone watch The Diary of Anne Frank last week? oh my GOD i watched the last episode yesterday, it was SO emotional.
I started off with a tear in my eye in about the first 10 mins and by the time the episode had finished I was in full blown hysteria mode, sobbing, snivelling, wailing!!! Dh came running in, shouting 'WHAT'S HAPPENED??!!!!!! ' with me sobbing away going 'they all died' and him shaking his head going 'god you gave me a heart attack you silly cow!'
But again, it puts things in perspective. All those poor poor people....oh god I can feel my eyes prickling again!!! Kim get your clown outfit on and do some tricks! We need cheering up!!!

Afternoon ladies,
Jo, I watched the Diary of Anne Frank last week, I was just so gutted that they thought they were going to be saved but were then captured.
I'm another lurker at the moment, trying to get on with life, always easier said than done, especially as best friend is pregnant. Consultant still believes its down to luck so feel like the hob nob of the infertility world and going to be dunked again
Hi to everyone, Kim, Tix, RaRa, Foxy, Jeni, Jo, Pix.
Love Lusherxxx

hi guys,
Sorry to be playing catch up, but they didn't all die did they?? I only got to watch 2 episodes of the Diary of Anne Frank - obviously not the last one!
I can sympathise with you guys as I too am getting fed up with the fertility lark to the point where it is easier to not think about it. We are planning to not try again for a while, mainly as we don't have the funds, but in a peverse way, knowing that you can't for a while lets you concentrate on getting on with other things - for a while anyhow.
Hope you are all doing ok in this grim weather, bring back the sunny frosty days I say, even if it is very parky
Bumblexx

Hi ladies - hope you don't mind me butting in but the hob nob of infertility - Lusher that is brilliant! It made me think of Peter Kaye, who described hob nobs as the commandos of the biscuit world... Dunk me!
Jo if you're in need of a heartwarming story, I can thoroughly recommend Defiance, the new Daniel Craig film - went with DH on Friday night and it was such a great movie - based on a true story, and of course the delectable Mr Craig to lust over...
Bumble I know what you mean about the weather - we had sideways rain and gale force winds yesterday, I hate being cooped up all day and the dog could really have used a walk - all the Christmas treats are starting to show on her waistline...
Tix did I read that right that your dad is in hospital? Hope he's ok honey...x
Big hugs to you all...xxxx

yeah Ellie he has had a bleed, quite significant, from his gut. hes ok though just spoke with him, unfortunatley he is Nottingham and im in Cornwall....its times like this you realise how far you are from family. but he is in a safe place and being looked after bless him...he has had tests and scans etc etc today, required a blood transfusion.
i love the Peter Kaye sketch hob-nob v rich tea!
ITS WEIRD ISNT IT I THINK WE HAVE ALL REACHED A SIMILAR STAGE OF tX .....Tired and fed up with it just trying to have a normal luife, hoping the answers will leap out at us....today im a 'dont ever want Tx again day' ....tomorrow????? who knows.

Tix hope your dad is on the mend soon!
Ellie you have a good excuse to stay in and stay out of this horrid rain!
Jo I try to stay away from 'sobby' tv.............i cry at the weather change at the moment.
It is funny we have all reached a 'plateau' (if that is a word?) but us 'long termers' have been 'fighting away' for such a long time. But we may have lost a few battles but the war hasn't even started!
So Kim, Tix, Bumble, Jo, Lusher we are simply 'regrouping' for a while!

Tix, sending you big , hope your Dad is soon on the road to recovery.
Ellie, nice to have you posting over here, although do keep an eye on the trimester threads to see how you're doing, not long now I'm going to see Defiance this weekend, glad you enjoyed.
I'm glad the hob nob of the infertility world brought a smile to your faces even used the saying with the consultant, she probably thinks we're .
Night, night all, off to bed to finish my book, have ordered a stack to keep me occupied as not lots of telly and trying not to go out splashing the cash.
Love Lusher aka the hob nob!!!

Hello i have'nt written for a while. I had a failed attemt of ICSI in october. I was on the highest amount of Gonal f but only produced i egg that did'nt make it to transfer. I am 40 & my bmi is 32. My consultant a BCRM said it was a waste of time having another go due to all these factors. Is it worth getting a 2nd opinion?
Have a good day. Sian X

Morning ladies
Sian, I'm not sure.... What's your FSH? You could maybe get your ovarian reserve tested to see what your egg supply is like? I guess the consultant doesn't want you to chuck money anyway necessarily... Good luck hon.
tix, oh your poor dad. I hope he picks up a bit after his blood transfusion. Hope you're ok about it all petal...
Bumble, out of the 8 people that hid in the secret annex, the only 1 that survived the concentration camps was Anne Frank's dad, who lived til he was 80! He was given her diary (which was left in the annex) after the war and that's how it came to be published.
Ellie, mmmm I love a bit of Daniel Craig. Will look out for that flick thanks. And don't dare apologise for butting in over here, you will always be a honorary inbetweenie.
Lusher aka Hob Nob, what book are you reading and what books have you ordered? I'm a total bookworm and love nothing more than to stick my head in a book and forget about my life!! Maybe we should start a book/tv/film group on here - anything to avoid talk of you know what!!!!
xxxx
