Hello Ladies,
I'm new to all this and have just jumped on the Fertility Rollercoaster - Been for my first planning appointment today for our first cycle of IUI due to start on 12/04/2010...Can't wait although a little anxious and nervous!
So far had 4 failed clomid attemps not even so much as a sniff of ovulation.....had a lap and dye which confirmed PCOS...shocker!
After some 'REAL' advice from 'REAL' experience - feel like I need to discuss as it's all hush hush to friends/family....or at least until theres some good news anyway!
Has anyone else been through IUI and had success - or is there any 'secrets' to help improving the chances of a positive?!
Petal

Petal, welcome to team madness. I think most people can understand why you wouldn't want to tell family and friends. We didn't when we were going through our traumatic journey. We did the clomid and failed, did IVF twice and failed, had 3 m/c's through natural conception (7wks 2 d was our longest) but then my gorgeous wife fell pg through natural trying and ovu sticks. We had found she had factor v leiden through the m/c clinic and were prescribed 75 mg asprin and super high dose of folic as soon as she became pg to help it stay. Did it work, were we just lucky, did someone smile down on us ... who knows but I will always think the latter. So, I am sorry I can't help with the IUI but I am sure others can.
You will get advice, support, a shoulder to cry on and hopefully have a laugh with those sharing the moment. I have always found everyone a tremendous support.
Best of luck.
Steve
