A new thread for a new year and I wish with all my heart that by the end of this year there is no need for a 2010 thread.

Well I am well and truly an inbetweenie, so to all those embarking/going through treatment this year, the best of luck and may your dreams come true.

I may be joining you all at some point, but need to save the money first, so in the meantime, I'll be cheering you all on from the sidelines.

Bumblexx

Hello everyone,

I suppose this is the right place for me -  I have just had my first cycle of IVF but unfortunately my 3 lovely embies decided to go off dancing elsewhere. So we are trying again ASAP; I spoke to my NN today who is going to get the cons to phone us in the hopes of bypassing the wait for a face-to-face follow-up appt, and let us get cracking.

In the meantime, we'll see what Mother Nature can do. Here's hoping that next cycle won't be necessary

Looking forward to chatting with you as I am missing my December Testers buddies! Made the mistake of checking the happy ones out on the 'BFP waiting for scan' thread, but it was great really - I could almost hear the excitement.

Alex xx

I'm gonna be here for a bit yet. Trying to get over this awful flu  so I can get fit and ready for my next tx.

I've emailed an accupuncturist today, so I feel i've made a small step in the right direction. I've also not had caffiene for a week now.  Anyone else doing anything to increase chances?

Hope 2009 will be a babyful year for all of us.

Jooby

Happy New Year to you all, hope you all had a fantastic christmas. Myself, DH and animals rented a lovely cottage in the peak district. We drove down xmas eve and came back the 27th. It was really nice, we had some lovely walks. It was nice not to be running around after everyone else for a change !! Hope your all enjoying the snow Its so cold... i have had to put my heating on full whammy !

Hi Jooby

im taking a new approach and just chilling about life...not obsessing about diet and health and just being 'sensible'.  i have been having acupuncture since September for general well-being and FERTILITY it keeps me mellow i am of the opinion that it really dosent matter what you do....if its gonna happen it will regardless of our actions. it would seem the majority of those that get BFP naturally have just let their defenses down and live a normal life.... i think im at that place a BFP remains to be seen.

Hi Marsh your break sound wonderful.

LOL Tix xxxx

Hi Jooby, I echo what Tix has said altho I do really believe that giving up caffeine had a big impact for me.  I was extreme tho, used to drink about 9 cups of builders tea a day and cut it out completely, apparently above a certain level it can halve your fertility.  Dtto heavy drinking tho, and I only gave that up intermittently!!!

Mich your break sounds great, we have a cottage in the Dales but it was rented out over Christmas and the New year so we couldnt' go up.  Thinking of going this weekend, hope the weather stays great!

well ladies, last but not least.....

HAPPY

NEW

YEAR

!!!!!!!!!!!

It has taken me this long to recover from it, what with it being a 17 hour extravaganza which started at 1pm and ended at 6am!!!! Seriously!!!!  We were at our friends' wedding out in the countryside and got dropped off at 1pm and coaches weren't coming back til 4am.  Oooh girls I got a fab new pair of hooker heels to wear to the do. I must get a pic of them so I can do some follie/af dancing when need be...

Anyway let's hope that 2009 brings some of us our dreams eh? I feel tons better now that my annus horribilus of 2008 is over. I booted it out with a big cheer at the stroke of 12 on 1/1!  Who knows what this year will bring us all eh?

lots of new year love & hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
